É com essa frase que o filósofo, escritor e educador, Mario Sergio Cortella, explicou sobre a ética no cotidiano para um grupo de pessoas em uma de suas palestras há alguns anos atrás. E acho que se você é mãe vai concordar com ela. A única coisa que queremos de nossos filhos é que eles sejam pessoas maravilhosas e éticas!

Não há dinheiro no mundo que possa comprar a felicidade e orgulho de uma mãe em poder dizer com toda potência que ela tem um filho excepcional, sem ter dúvidas do que ela mesma está dizendo.

Sabe aquela frase popular que diz “dia das mães é todo dia”? Essa frase é verdadeira, e os filhos precisam entendê-la definitivamente. Que pessoa eu desejo ser? Que tipo de pessoa eu preciso me tornar para dar orgulho a minha mãe? Que tipo de pessoa não ser? Que tipo de atitudes não podem fazer parte da minha conduta e envergonhar a pessoa que me trouxe a esse mundo?

Parece clichê, mas o maior presente que você pode dar para sua mãe na vida é se transformar em uma pessoa de valor! Uma pessoa que possua valores internos imutáveis, verdadeiros e que não atuam por conveniência.

Eu lembro perfeitamente de receber meu primeiro salário, que na verdade era uma ajuda de custo de um estágio para menores de idade, e no dia das mães, comprei um par de brincos e um cordão folheados para dar para minha mãe. Quando ela recebeu o presente, agradeceu nada empolgada, e me disse ”não gaste seu dinheiro comigo, o que quero de você é que invista seu dinheiro em você, e que você nunca me dê vergonha.”

Eu era adolescente e ela estava muito preocupada com a cabeça de uma adolescente que trabalhava, estudava, tinha muitos amigos e a alguns pretendentes, que vinha de um bairro pobre onde muitas meninas deixavam seus estudos por conta de paixões e acabavam engravidando.

Fiquei muito chateada naquele dia. Na minha cabeça, dei o meu melhor pra ela e ela nem mostrou felicidade em receber! Hoje entendo perfeitamente bem o que aquelas palavras queriam dizer!

O maior presente que ela queria era uma filha que ela pudesse ter orgulho de dizer ”Essa é minha filha!” E de fato, essa sempre foi minha maior preocupação, eu não queria envergonhar ou desonrar a minha mãe, depois de toda luta dela para me dar o que era possível e impossível.

Mas, apesar da minha mãe não ter ficado empolgada com o presente, preste atenção nisso… Sempre que puder, mesmo contrariando a vontade de sua mãe e de acordo com as suas possibilidades, tente sempre demonstrar seu amor por ela. Transforme isso em meta para sua vida.

Por isso, comemore! Talvez o segundo domingo de maio não seja o melhor dia para fazer isso e você realmente não precisa comemorar o dia das mães na exata data. Nada daquelas filas intermináveis na porta dos restaurantes ou de serviços de péssima qualidade no único dia que você separa para homenageá-la, isso não é um presente e sim uma tortura!

Então, ao ínves de tentar fazer isso em um dia só, tente demonstrar seu amor de forma mais consistente. Se surpreender a sua mãe é o que você deseja, você pode fazer isso ao longo do ano e isso pode se tornar uma ação que pode ser cultivada e ensinada aos seus filhos também.

Planeje algo que sua mãe vai amar! Um show, uma dança especial, uma ida ao teatro, um jantar naquele restaurante, uma viagem, um encontro familiar onde você possa homenageá-la na frente de todos, um presente que faça sentido pra ela, ou um abraço apertado e um eu te amo olhando no fundo dos olhos, que você nunca fez. Várias tardes de conversas intermináveis com café e bolo que você trouxe ou preparou. Esteja mais presente, dê presentes e seja o presente. Enfim, capriche! Afinal a gente ama nossas mães!

Se sua mãe é seu pai, sua avó, sua tia ou alguma outra pessoa fantástica que te criou, esse texto continua valendo da mesma forma. Mãe é quem cuida, quem ama, quem se importa, quem se alegra, quem briga e disciplina para o bem!
