A maquiadora contou em entrevista para a Teen Vogue que fazer estrelas na maquiagem é uma espécie de assinatura pessoal. Ela disse que ultimamente seu problema de acne se agravou e pensou: “Por que não cobrir com estrelas?”. O resultado final não a agradou completamente e ela demorou muito tempo para postar as imagens.

Após compartilhar a maquiagem, Rocio recebeu inúmeras mensagens de apoio nas suas redes sociais. “Eu tenho um caso de acne e hiperpigmentação que faz com que eu não queira postar vídeos, porque não quero pessoas falando sobre isso. Mas estou feliz que pessoas como você são abertas e honestas sobre isso, porque nós precisamos de pessoas com peles “imperfeitas”!, disse uma seguidora no Youtube.

Além de criar uma maquiagem divertida, ajudar pessoas com acne também foi o objetivo da maquiadora, que quer que a acne seja tratada como algo comum. Ela disse à Teen Vogue que deseja passar a mensagem de que está tudo bem em ter problemas de pele, que essas pessoas também são bonitas.

Sobre as mensagens, ela disse que as pessoas foram muito gentis e ela está muito contente com o feedback. “Minha mensagem foi ouvida e isso me deixa muito feliz”, disse Rocio.
